We are pleased to offer windchimes manufactured by Music of
the Spheres, a company founded in 1989 in Austin, Texas. These beautiful
windchimes are available in six chime sizes, or pitch ranges, spanning four
octaves. The larger chimes have a lower pitch while the smaller chimes have a
higher pitch. The chimes incorporate ten musical scales, plus the unique
Westminster scale. All windchimes are tuned to standard orchestral pitch (A
440).
Music of the Spheres windchimes have been
designed to overlap and complement each other. Chimes in the same musical
scale, or tuning, in different pitch ranges harmonize well together to produce
a "singing in parts" effect. Try adding another "voice" in the same scale to
your chime collection, or combine chimes in various tunings for a different
musical effect. Suggested combinations include Chinese - Balinese -Japanese,
Japanese - Gypsy, and Pentagonic - Hawaiian.
Over the years, the company has grown, but
the windchimes continue to be hand-made with the same attention to quality and
detail. We believe that once you listen to these windchimes, you will see why
